Ederson said his future is at Manchester City as he branded reports linking him with a move away during this transfer window "99% fake news".

The Brazilian is entering the final year of his contract at City and had been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last year, though he ultimately opted to stay at the Etihad.

Ederson joined City from Benfica in 2017 and has been a key part of Guardiola's squad since then, winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League.

But he has dismissed speculation over his future, with his eye on more success with City in the upcoming season.

"My future is here," said Ederson. "Some friends send me a lot of news, but 99% is fake news. I understand you guys.

"You need the news to put a like on social media, or rant for the news. I understand, but there's a lot of fake news around my name.

"My head is here. It stays with the city. It gives me everything to go back to the Premier League again and try to win the Champions League as well.

"My mind is staying in the club."

Ederson made 37 appearances across all competitions last season, keeping 12 clean sheets, with 10 of those coming in the Premier League.

The 31-year-old boasted a save percentage of 67.1% (54 saves from 79 shots on target faced) and conceded 26 goals.
