Everton have signed Mark Travers from Bournemouth to strengthen their goalkeeping department.
Travers joins the Toffees on a four-year deal after nine years at the Vitality Stadium with Bournemouth.
The goalkeeper made 82 appearances for the Cherries but spent the second half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough as their first-choice option. He also had loan spells with Weymouth, Swindon and Stoke.
Everton were in the market for a goalkeeper after both Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia saw their contracts at Goodison Park expire.
Travers, who has made four appearances for the Republic of Ireland, will look to challenge Jordan Pickford for the starting spot in David Moyes’ side.
“I'm extremely proud and excited to be an Everton player,” Travers told EvertonTV.
“Coming in, you can feel how big this club is and the history that comes with it. You really feel that with the fanbase, the new stadium now as well and the direction the club is going in.
