Santi Cazorla will play in LaLiga once again after signing a one-year contract extension with Real Oviedo.
The 40-year-old's deal was set to expire this year, but the Spanish club announced he had agreed fresh terms on Saturday, following their promotion from the Segunda Division.
He scored the tie-winning goal against Almeria in the play-off semi-finals with a superb free-kick, then dispatched an important penalty in the second leg of the final against Mirandes.
Oviedo will return to the top flight of Spanish football for the first time in eight years.
Cazorla will provide invaluable experience to his side, having provided 54 goals and 58 assists in 323 LaLiga matches in his career.

The former Spain international last played in LaLiga in 2020, but after three years in Qatar with Al Sadd, Cazorla returned to Oviedo in 2023.
Cazorla, formerly of Arsenal, Malaga and Villarreal, won 81 caps for Spain and was part of the squad that won back-to-back European Championships in 2008 and 2012.
