The WNBA's best player is staying with the league's top team.

Four-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson agreed to a contract to remain with the defending champion Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday.

Terms of the deal were not announced, but it was reported by ESPN that it is a three-year, $5million supermax contract, making it the richest in the history of the league.

"A’ja is truly one of one, who has led this franchise to where it is today," Aces president and general manager Nikki Fargas said in a statement. "Not only has she catapulted into the history books and surpassed almost every record in existence, but she does so with the utmost confidence, authenticity and grace. We look forward to continuing to see her thrive in an Aces uniform."

Wilson, 29, is the league's only four-time MVP and has led the Aces to three of the last four WNBA titles.

The eight-year veteran also won her third Defensive Player of the Year last summer, is a seven-time All-Star and a six-time All-WNBA selection.

Last season, she led the league in scoring for a second year in a row (23.4 points per game) and also led the WNBA in blocked shots (2.3). She averaged 10.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.6 steals, with her scoring, rebounding, assists, blocked shots and steals per game averages being the second best of her career.

This marked Wilson's second consecutive season to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal. She is the only player to reach those marks in a season in WNBA history with a minimum of 15 games played.

Locking up Wilson was the latest off-season move by the Aces to keep the championship core intact after agreeing to deals with Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray and Jewell Loyd in the last week.

They will now return 90 per cent of their scoring average from the 2025 season (75.5 out of 83.6).
