A'Ja Wilson and Jackie Young sparked the Aces in the third quarter to turn a close game into a blowout as Las Vegas went on to defeat the Golden State Valkyries 91-81 on Sunday.
Wilson finished with 28 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks, while Young added 23 points, nine assists and seven boards for the visiting Aces (5-3), who won for the first time in three games.
Young made 5 of 9 shots from 3-point range and NaLyssa Smith was 7 of 9 from the field to finish with 15 points. She added nine boards.
The two-time defending WNBA champions led just 43-41 at half-time before blowing the game open in the third quarter.
Las Vegas outscored Golden State 29-13 in the decisive period, with Wilson racking up 13 points and Young tallying 11. The Valkyries made just 3 of 17 shots (18 per cent) in the third quarter to head into the final period trailing by 18.
Gabby Williams led Golden State (5-3) with 20 points and Janelle Salaun scored 16, but was just 5 of 13 from the floor as the Valkyries lost for the first time in three contests.
