San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama will return to the court on Sunday after clearing concussion protocol.
Wembanyama will be available for Game 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday after he was deemed medically fit by both team doctors and league consultants.
After suffering the concussion due to a face-first fall on Tuesday, the towering Frenchman began ramping up activities on Thursday, ESPN’s Sham Charania reported.
It remains unclear if Wembanyama will be on a minutes restriction.
The No. 2-seeded Spurs lead their first-round series against the Blazers 2-1 after Friday’s 120-108 win without Wembanyama.
Luke Kornet started at center on Friday, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds in 30 minutes.
After going 34-48 last season, San Antonio has seemingly skipped several development steps on their way to being a title contender at 62-20.
Wembanyama averaged 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.1 blocked shots in his third season and has been announced as a league MVP finalist.
