The Oklahoma City Thunder will not have Jalen Williams in the line-up again due to a left hamstring injury when they host the San Antonio Spurs in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals on Saturday.
A first-time All-Star last season who averaged 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.39 steals in 23 play-off games during Oklahoma City’s run to the NBA title, Williams only appeared in 33 games this season and has missed nine of the Thunder’s last 12 contests in these play-offs.
Williams strained his left hamstring in Game 2 of the first round against the Phoenix Suns and missed six games before returning for the West finals opener and scoring 26 points.
The fourth-year forward then aggravated the injury in the next matchup after playing just seven minutes, and he missed the next three contests before playing in Game 6 on Thursday.
Williams came off the bench for the first time in 38 career play-off games and was limited to 10 minutes of action.
The winner Saturday will host the New York Knicks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
