Andy Robertson is confident that third-choice goalkeeper Freddie Woodman can step up for Liverpool in their push for Champions League football this season.
Woodman, who joined the Reds from Preston North End in the summer, made his Premier League debut during Liverpool's 2-1 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby.
The 29-year-old was thrust into the action in the 58th minute when Giorgi Mamardashvili was forced off with an injury after colliding with Beto, who hauled Everton level.
Mamardashvilli is expected to be on the sidelines for the next two weeks, while number one Alisson is expected to return to face Manchester United on May 3.
Arne Slot's side are fifth in the Premier League heading into their clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday, and Robertson believes that Liverpool are in safe hands with Woodman in between the sticks.
"Look, I take the mickey out of him a lot, and we always have a laugh and a joke, but he is a credit to himself," Robertson told LFCTV.
"Since he has come in, he has been unbelievable, whether that's Mo Salah wanting to stay out and do penalties after training, Woody is the one there doing that with him.
"Whether it is running after the game where the lads have been dragged out, like I've done [after the game] at PSG, and he is always there to do it and to support.
"So these people at a club like this are so important. Maybe they don't always get the credit they deserve, don't always get the limelight and stuff like that.
"But when he walked back in the changing room there, I think he got a nice reception. Forget about the personality, he has shown his composure and his quality on the ball."

Palace, meanwhile, were held to a frustrating goalless draw with West Ham, all but ending their slim hopes of challenging for a place in Europe next season.
The Eagles could still compete on the European stage should they win the Conference League, with Shakhtar Donetsk their opponents in the semi-finals.
Oliver Glasner's side are unbeaten in their last four Premier League games (W2 D2), only enjoying a longer unbeaten run in the league this season in their opening six matches (W3 D3), though the Palace boss conceded his team should have beaten West Ham.
"Maybe both [a good and bad point]," Glasner said.
"At the end, I felt we were closer to winning than losing, but on the other side, with all the circumstances and how good West Ham are, the performance was absolutely OK.
"It was not our best performance. In the final third, maybe we were not clinical enough; we had many crosses that were not accurate.
"I felt that we had a bit more energy at the end, which is strange because of how many games we have played. That is what I really liked, the commitment of the team."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Liverpool – Mohamed Salah
Salah has scored in each of his last three Premier League starts (three goals), having only scored two goals in his previous 14 starts.
He will be 33 years and 314 days on the day of this game, with Cristiano Ronaldo the last player to be that old to score in four starts in a row in the competition (37 years, 86 days in May 2022).

Crystal Palace – Ismaila Sarr
Sarr has scored in each of his last four appearances against Liverpool in all competitions (five goals), and he will be keen to add to that tally at Anfield.
Overall, in English football, he only has more goals against Aston Villa (eight) than he does against the Reds (seven).
MATCH PREDICTION: LIVERPOOL WIN
Despite being favoured by the Opta supercomputer, Liverpool are winless in their last three league home games against Palace (D2 L1), having won five in a row at Anfield before that.
However, the Reds are hitting form at the right time. They have won six of their last 10 Premier League games (D1 L3), more than in their previous 18 combined (W5 D6 L7)
There have been nine 90th-minute winning goals in Liverpool's games this term (four winners, five defeats), two more than in any other team's games in a season in Premier League history, so expect some late drama here.
Palace are, however, looking to complete a league double over the reigning champions for the first time, having won 2-1 earlier this season against Liverpool.
They have netted exactly twice in their last five Premier League games against the reigning champions, with Manchester City the only team to score 2+ goals in six in a row against title-holders in the competition, doing so from September 2013 to May 2017.
And following their 2-1 win in September, Palace are looking to complete the league double over Liverpool for just the third time, after 1991-92 and 2014-15. They are also looking to become the first team since Arsenal in 2006-07 to beat the Reds twice at Anfield after their EFL Cup triumph.
