Arike Ogunbowale scored a season-high 32 points and Jessica Shepard chipped in a career-best 26 points, helping Dallas overcome a 37-point performance by Indiana's Kelsey Mitchell in leading the Wings to a 91-85 victory on Thursday, snapping the Fever's five-game winning streak.
Mitchell made all 15 of her free throws and extended her WNBA record of consecutive games scoring at least 20 points to 21 contests before the game even went to half, converting a layup with four seconds to go, giving her 21 points.
Ogunbowale then took over, scoring 15 points in the third quarter and another 10 in the fourth period to lead the Wings (21-16) to their first victory in four games.
Caitlin Clark had 10 points and nine assists and Paige Bueckers had 13 points and eight assists, but each struggled with their shooting, as Clark was 4 of 15 from the floor with Buckers going 5 of 16. This came just six days after each scored 29 in Indiana's 98-87 win.
Aliyah Boston had 14 points and nine rebounds and Makayla Timpson had 11 points and 12 boards for the Fever (24-13), who kept things close by going 24 of 26 from the foul line.
The Wings, however, dominated down low, holding a 46-28 advantage on points in the paint and Awak Kuier set a team record with a career-best seven blocked shots to go with 11 points and eight rebounds.
