Houston Rockets centre Alperen Şengün has been added to the Team World roster for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver picked Şengün as an injury replacement for Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on Sunday.
The NBA All-Star Game will take place next Sunday, and Gilgeous-Alexander will be sidelined at least another week after straining an abdominal muscle on February 3.
This is the second All-Star Game selection for Şengün, who is averaging 20.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and a career-best 6.3 assists in his fifth NBA season.
Şengün, 23, has helped lead the Rockets to a 32-19 record, which is tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for fourth place in the Western Conference.
