Milan will 'sort everything out', insists Pulisic

Christian Pulisic is confident AC Milan will "sort everything out", having already made wholesale changes following their failure to clinch Champions League football.

Milan had been in pole position for a top-four finish in Serie A, but a run of just two wins in their final eight matches, including a damaging 2-1 loss to Cagliari on the final day, saw them drop to fifth.

The Rossoneri earned 70 points in a Serie A season (considering three points for a win era), ending the campaign outside the top four positions for the first time in their history in the competition.

As such, the club parted ways with head coach Massimiliano Allegri, as well as chief executive Giorgio Furlani, sporting director Igli Tare and technical director Geoffrey Moncada in a major overhaul by their ownership group, Redbird Capital Partners.

Milan are yet to announce Allegri's successor, but even with a lot of questions over Milan going forward, Pulisic is not worried about the future.

"I can only say that Milan is a big club, and I think they'll sort everything out," Pulisic, who is preparing for the United States' World Cup opener, told Gazzetta.

"Ultimately, I'm sure everything will be fine, and the team will get back to where it belongs. Right now, though, my focus is here in America."

One of the names heavily linked with the vacant Milan job is USA's head coach, Mauricio Pochettino.

Some reports suggest a deal in principle has already been agreed between the two parties for after the World Cup.

"I only see him as my national team coach, here and now. Our relationship is good, definitely good," Pulisic insisted.

"We've had some good conversations over the past few days: I know what he asks of me and what I can give him. I think with him, we're preparing as best as possible for the tournament."

Asked about the differences between Pochettino and Allegri, Pulisic added: "I don't make comparisons, but I believe he's the first South American coach I've had in my career.

"It's been a great experience, a big discovery. I like his passion; I like the footballing ideas he brings with his style. He demands great energy and continuous intensity on the pitch."
