Kylian Mbappe has been included in France's expanded 27-man squad for their upcoming friendlies with Brazil and Colombia during the March international break.

Mbappe, who has only just returned to action for Real Madrid following a knee injury, headlines Didier Deschamps' roster in their final fixtures before the World Cup.

The 27-year-old is just three goals away from becoming France's all-time top scorer, with Olivier Giroud currently leading the way with 57 in 137 caps for Les Bleus.

And it is in attack where Deschamps is having a closer look at his options, which is not helped by an injury sustained by Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola in midweek.

Tottenham's Randal Kolo Muani has been recalled to the squad and is one of nine attackers named in the side, with Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche also retaining his place.

The other big call in Deschamps' ranks is the inclusion of PSG shot-stopper Lucas Chevalier, who has recently lost his place in Luis Enrique's side to Matvei Safonov.

Lens' Robin Risser and Jean Butez of Como both miss out on France's tour of the United States, which kicks off against Brazil in Boston on March 26.

France will then face Colombia three days later in Washington in what will be the first meeting between the two sides since March 2018, where Juan Quintero's 85th-minute penalty sealed a 3-2 win for La Tricolor at Stade de France.

France squad in full:

Lucas Chevalier (PSG), Mike Maignan (Milan), Brice Samba (Rennes); Lucas Digne (Aston Villa), Malo Gusto (Chelsea), Lucas Hernandez (PSG), Theo Hernandez (Al-Hilal), Pierre Kalulu (Juventus), Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool), William Saliba (Arsenal), Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich); Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid), N'Golo Kante (Fenerbahce), Manu Kone (AS Roma), Adrien Rabiot (Milan), Aurelien Tchouameni (Real Madrid), Warren Zaire-Emery (PSG); Maghnes Akliouche (Monaco), Rayan Cherki (Manchester City), Ousmane Dembele (PSG), Desire Doue (PSG), Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool), Randal Kolo Muani (Tottenham), Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid), Michael Olise (Bayern Munich), Marcus Thuram (Inter).
