Jonathan Kuminga shrugged off the noise as he made a flying start for the Atlanta Hawks.
On his Atlanta debut, Kuminga finished with 27 points, seven rebounds and four assists as the Hawks beat the Washington Wizards 119-98.
The Hawks acquired Kuminga, along with Buddy Hield, in a trade that saw Kristaps Porzingis head to the Golden State Warriors.
"It was great," said Kuminga of his debut. "I was excited to be out there with the guys."
Asked if he set out to send a message to the Warriors with his performance, Kuminga said: "Everybody has an opinion.
"I really don't play attention to what anyone else is saying.
"We're trying to win as many games as we can here. That's my main focus."

Atlanta coach Quin Snyder was impressed by what he saw from Kuminga.
"He connected with his teammates and let the game come to him," Snyder said.
The Hawks are 29-31 after picking up a second straight win. They face the Wizards again on Thursday.
