Steve Kerr said it is "surreal" to have joined an illustrious list of coaches on 600 career wins in the NBA.
Kerr oversaw his 600th win as the Golden State Warriors beat the Washington Wizards 125-117 on Monday.
He became the fourth-fastest coach in NBA history to reach the milestone, having reached 600 wins from 943 regular-season games.
Kerr ranks behind Phil Jackson (805 games), Pat Riley (832) and Gregg Popovich (887).
But the Golden State coach says he owes his record to the great players he has had at his disposal.
"It's surreal to hear my name in that group," said Kerr, who recorded 601 wins as a player.
"I can tell you that one thing that bonds us all together – those names and mine – is talent.
"You can't win in this league without great players, and I was blessed from the day I took this job with incredible talent."

Kerr is just the second person in NBA history to win 600+ games as a player and a coach, after Don Nelson.
Kristaps Porzingis played a key role for the Warriors against his former team, finishing with 30 points.
"He's quite a talent," Kerr said of the Latvian.
"We're also on the Kristaps Porzingis reunion tour. It's kind of crazy. We're playing every one of his former teams.
"The Knicks, Washington, Atlanta, Boston, Dallas. All five of his teams, we're seeing on this trip. Players usually get up for playing against their old teams."
