Juventus defender Federico Gatti believes they "don't always make the most of" Randal Kolo Muani's attacking abilities.

The Bianconeri are seventh in Serie A after their victory over Napoli last weekend, which they followed up with a Europa League win over AZ.

Kolo Muani starred against the Eredivisie side, assisting Teun Koopmeiners' opener before linking up with Nick Woltemade to score the second.

Juve (11) have scored more than 10 goals after the first four matches of a season in one of the main European competitions for the first time since 1999/2000 (14 in UEFA Cup), with Kolo Muani scoring three and assisting two of those goals.

Luciano Spalletti's side face Fiorentina on Sunday, and Gatti hopes they can utilise Kolo Muani's skills to their advantage.

"He is a great player with athleticism and characteristics that I think we don’t always make the most of," Gatti told Sky Sport Italia about Kolo Muani.

"Because I, as a defender, can tell you how hard it is to deal with him running at you."

Gatti also believes Juve must not dwell too long on their Europa League win, with their attention quickly turning back to Serie A action.

"It is a very good victory, it's always hard away from home in Europe, but we need to set it aside straight away and get our Serie A standings back in shape, because we cannot be in our current position," Gatti added.

"I needed to be at 100 per cent fitness, because if you are not sharp, then an error is always behind the corner. The only way to get fully fit is by playing."

Fiorentina ended a five-game winless run in Serie A with a 4-2 victory over Sassuolo last time out, moving them out of the bottom three.

Fiorentina – Franco Mastantuono

Franco Mastantuono could become the third-youngest player in the three-points-for-a-win era to score at least five goals in fewer than 15 Serie A appearances (19 years, 86 days), after Obafemi Martins (19y, 47d) and Alexandre Pato (18y, 178d).

Furthermore, if he scores against Juventus, he would become Fiorentina's third-youngest goalscorer against the Bianconeri in Serie A history, behind only Claudio Desolati (18y, 73d in 1973) and Nicola Berti (18y, 357d in 1986).

Juventus – Kerim Alajbegovic

Kerim Alajbegovic could score in two consecutive Serie A appearances aged 19 years and 48 days; the last Juventus player to do so at a younger age was Moise Kean in 2019 (19 years and 44 days).

Alajbegovic could also become the first foreign player in Juventus' history to score in two consecutive top-flight games before turning 20.

Juve have beaten Fiorentina more times than any other side in Serie A (82 wins, alongside 37 Fiorentina victories and 55 draws).

With two goals, the Bianconeri would draw level with Inter as the most prolific team against the Tuscans in the top-flight (currently 275 goals for Juve compared to 277 for the Nerazzurri).

However, Juve have lost two of their last four Serie A away games (W1 D1), as many defeats as they had in their previous 13 away matches (W8 D3).

After losing three consecutive Serie A matches without scoring, Fiorentina are unbeaten in their last four top-flight games against Juve (W2 D2). Their last longer unbeaten run against the Bianconeri in the top-flight was a seven-match sequence between 1961 and 1964 (W4 D3).

Nevertheless, Fiorentina have picked up just two points in their first five home games in Serie A this season (D2 L3).

The only other campaigns in which the Viola failed to win any of their first five home Serie A matches were 1977-78 and 2025-26. Only in 2025-26 did that winless start extend beyond five games, reaching seven.
