Keyonte George has been rewarded following a breakout campaign for the Utah Jazz, with the young point guard agreeing to a five-year contract extension worth $157.5million.

Utah selected George with the 16th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, and he was named Second Team All-Rookie after averaging 13 points and 4.4 assists in 75 games in 2023-24.

George appeared in 67 contests in 2024-25 and averaged 16.8 points and 5.6 assists.

He took an even bigger step last season, averaging 23.6 points and 6.1 assists in 54 games.

Utah has missed the play-offs in all three of George’s seasons, and the team is 56-140 with him in the line-up.

The Jazz had the second overall pick in June’s draft and selected freshman guard Darryn Peterson from Kansas.
