Leeds United have announced the signing of Tarik Muharemovic on a five-year deal from Sassuolo.
Muharemovic, who represented Bosnia-Herzegovina at this summer's World Cup, has reportedly joined in a deal worth £34.1m.
The 23-year-old has been brought in to bolster Leeds' defence following Pascal Struijk's move to Brighton, and he is their second signing of the transfer window following Harry Wilson’s arrival on a free transfer.
"I was born ready," Muharemovic told LUTV. "I will give everything for this club.
"I will give everything, every game. I just want to win. I hate to lose, and I will fight for every ball, even if it is my head or my feet, I am going.

"I know that it is a big and historical club. I know a lot. I followed since I heard about the interest that I could come here. I watched a lot, especially I watched a lot of videos about the fans, that every game is sold out, so it is just incredible.
"I directly knew what the ambitions are, and the club told me what the ambitions are, so we want to get the club back where it belongs.
"I just can't wait to see the whole team. I saw a few players and, yeah, I just can't wait to train with them, to see how they are and to meet my new family."
Muharemovic spent two seasons at Sassuolo, initially joining on loan before making his stay permanent in April 2025.
He made 63 appearances in total, including 32 in Serie A in 2025-26.
No Sassuolo player made more interceptions (45) or blocks (31) in the Italian top flight, while only Nemanja Matic (1,488/1,721) attempted or completed more passes than Muharemovic (1,413/1,649).
