Giannis Antetokounmpo believes Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic is one of the greatest scorers in NBA history.
The Lakers defeated Antetokounmpo's Miami Heat 138-117 at Crypto.com Arena on Monday, with Doncic leading the way for the home side.
The point guard starred with 42 points, shooting 14-for-24 from the field, 13 assists, seven rebounds and two steals.
Doncic now has the most games in NBA history (19) with 40+ points, 10+ assists and 5+ 3-pointers made (six v the Heat).
His 24 points in the first half against Miami saw him become the first Lakers player since Kobe Bryant in 2007 to score 20+ points in the first half of five consecutive games.
Doncic has also scored 40+ points in four of his last five games, leading the league with a scoring average of 38.8 points per game.
The Lakers are now 6-2 on the season, and former MVP Antetokounmpo was full of praise for his counterpart.
"Obviously, he's one of the best scorers to play this game, if not the best," Antetokounmpo said about Doncic.

"Not right now. Of all time. I feel like some people are scared to say that, but he's got to be up there."
Doncic's Lakers team-mate Quentin Grimes added: "It just feels almost anything he shoots, whether it's a circus shot or regular step-back 3, or it's a tough floater, it just seems like everything he's shooting is going to go in.
"I don't think I've ever been on the court when everything somebody shoots, you think it's going in. So, kind of crazy little heater he's on for sure."
