Shai Gilgeous-Alexander insisted "the winning is all that matters" despite extending his record streak of NBA games with at least 20 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Thunder extended their winning streak to eight games but had to do it the hard way as they earned a 116-103 victory over Minnesota.
Gilgeous-Alexander broke Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain's 63-year-old record with his 127th consecutive contest of scoring at least 20 last time out, but he left it late to make it 128.
He reached the 20-point mark with 1:46 left in the fourth quarter, having entered the period with just 10 to his name, but he hit a jumper and then made a free throw after being fouled by Anthony Edwards to keep his streak alive.
Gilgeous-Alexander had a season-low four first-half points on 2-of-10 shooting and made a season-low 31.8% of his 22 attempts, but also chipped in with 10 assists.
The reigning league MVP insisted that individual achievements were not as important as seeing the team succeed.
"Yeah, I didn't care about anything besides winning the game as usual," he told reporters. "The game was so junky, low scoring.

"They're obviously a good defense, we're a good defense, so it's no surprise. To me, those type of things have never mattered. It's just always about walking out of here with a W.
"If I have a night like I had tonight, and we win the way we win for the rest of the season I'll be the happiest guy on earth. The winning is all that matters."
Chet Holmgren led the Thunder with 21 points, while Alex Caruso also added 17 as Oklahoma City improved to a league-best 53-15.
They started a run of five road games against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday as they look to extend their winning streak and add to their advantage at the top of the Western Conference.
