Fabien Galthie has lamented France's bad luck with injuries after Romain Ntamack sustained a serious shoulder issue in a 54-17 win over Fiji.
France stormed to victory in Lyon on Saturday, seeing them move top of the northern hemisphere standings in the Nations Championship.
Jean-Baptiste Gros, Sipili Falatea, Aaron Grandidier-Nkanang, Cameron Woki, Kalvin Gourgues, Theo Attissogbe, Charles Ollivon and the returning Antoine Dupont all crossed for Les Bleus.
Yet Ntamack's return to action for France lasted just half an hour, as he succumbed to a shoulder injury that has left Galthie short of options in the halves ahead of next week's clash with South Africa.
"Romain went off with this injury and we won't have him for the rest of the competition," Galthie told TF1.
"I won't go into the details but I think that's the competition over for him. He has a pretty serious shoulder injury.
"We have a French team without its first choice [fly-half], without its second choice, without its third choice, without its fourth choice."

Galthie did feel France's performance at least puts them in good stead ahead of facing the Springboks.
"It's a good result, it's a long time since we've scored so many points against Fiji," said Galthie.
"It's a good preparation match for six days' time."
Tryscorer Attissogbe added: "This is a new competition format, we knew that it was important to take the win given the other nations' results.
"We took five points, that's the best score possible. So, we're delighted, we'll keep going."
Wales, meanwhile, claimed a confidence-boosting 28-21 win over Japan at the Principality Stadium.
