England coach Steve Borthwick has named his 36-man England squad for an upcoming three-day training camp, with Owen Farrell omitted.
Farrell was a late call-up for the British and Irish Lions’ tour of Australia over the summer, but the 33-year-old has not been called up for the training camp.
This is despite his return to Saracens after leaving Racing 92, making himself eligible for an England call-up once again.
Maro Itoje has also not been named in the squad. However, this is due to him still following concussion protocols after he received a head injury in the final Lions Test.

However, there are no concerns with Itoje’s availability for the November internationals, as he is expected to return to Saracens for the Gallagher Premiership before then.
The most notable inclusion is Ollie Lawrence, who returns to the side after a six-month absence with an Achilles injury, which he sustained in a Six Nations victory over Italy in March.
England’s Autumn campaign gets under way on November 1, when they take on Australia. They will then face Fiji, New Zealand and Argentina.
