Curry recorded his second 40-point game this season and topped 30 points for the fourth time in the last five games. It was his 16th 40-point effort after age 35, most in NBA history. LeBron James has 15 and Michael Jordan did it 12 times.
Knicks beat Cavs in East final rematch
Jalen Brunson scored 31 points, Karl-Anthony Towns added 29 and the New York Knicks pulled away in the third quarter for a 109-97 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference finals.
Brunson scored 18 straight in the second quarter to help the defending NBA champions take control. He added nine assists and drained a crucial jumper in the final three minutes as the Knicks held off Cleveland's comeback.
It was the first meeting between New York and Cleveland since last season's conference finals, which the Knicks swept. They blew out the Cavs by 37 in Game 4 in Cleveland.
Donovan Mitchell scored 21 of his season-high 37 points in the fourth quarter for the Cavs, who are just 2-4 in their last six games but secured an impressive win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.

Jokić scored 10 of his 19 points in the first quarter and added 13 rebounds and eight assists. Cameron Johnson finished with 18 points, and Jamal Murray added 16 for the Nuggets, who have won four of their last five games.
The Pacers played without All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton, who missed the trip due to a hamstring strain.
Pascal Siakam scored 23 points, and Larry Nance Jr. added 15 off the bench for the Pacers, who have lost five of their last six games.
The game marked the 35th NBA appearance in the country since the league first brought exhibition games to Mexico in 1992.
No country outside the United States and Canada has hosted more.
