The NBA trade deadline passed on Thursday, and Giannis Antetokounmpo is still a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Antetokounmpo was the biggest name on the trading block and the Bucks were listening to offers for the two-time league MVP, but ultimately opted to keep the face of the franchise through at least the remainder of the season.
Other notable big names who weren't traded at the deadline include Ja Morant, who remains with the Memphis Grizzlies, and Draymond Green, who was kept by the Golden State Warriors.
The Bucks reportedly were in no rush to make a deal for Antetokounmpo but are expected to re-open the trade market for the Greek big man this off-season.
It was reported by Shams Charania of ESPN hours before the actual trade deadline that Antetokounmpo would not be traded.

Antetokounmpo, 31, has spent his entire 13-year NBA career with Milwaukee since the franchise drafted him 15th overall in 2013, and he led the team to a championship in 2021.
He has said he loves playing for the Bucks, but also wants to play for a contender and Milwaukee is unlikely to make the play-offs for the first time since Antetokounmpo’s third season in 2015-16.
The Bucks, who haven’t made it past the first round of the play-offs since 2022, are currently sitting in 12th place in the Eastern Conference – three games back of the 10th-place Chicago Bulls for a spot in the Play-In Tournament.
Antetokounmpo has missed Milwaukee’s last five games because of a calf injury sustained on January 23. This is the second significant calf injury of the season for Antetokounmpo, and Bucks coach Doc Rivers has said there is no timetable for his return.
Despite his injuries, Antetokounmpo was still voted to this season’s All-Star Game with averages of 28.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 30 contests.
This is his 10th All-Star selection, and he was named to the All-NBA First Team for a seventh time last season.
Antetokounmpo has career averages of 24.0 points, 9.9 boards and 5.0 assists, and is Milwaukee’s all-time franchise leader in points (21,377), rebounds (8,831) and assists (4,456).
