Elliot Anderson's move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City should be completed in the next two days, England boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed.
Anderson has emerged as a key target for City as they prepare to enter the post-Pep Guardiola era, with Enzo Maresca expected to take charge at the Etihad Stadium.
With Bernardo Silva departing and Rodri struggling with various injuries in the last two seasons, City are expected to make Anderson the most expensive English player ever.
Anderson was one of the standout players in the Premier League last season, despite Forest struggling against relegation and only pulling clear of danger under Vitor Pereira late in the campaign.
He registered the most touches (3,300), won possession the most times (306), won the most duels (297) and drew the most fouls (80) of any player in the division.
Anderson's outstanding club form has also made him a key part of Tuchel's England plans, as he played 248 minutes throughout the Three Lions' three games in Group L at the World Cup – Ezri Konsa (270) and Harry Kane (264) were the only outfielders to play more.
And the midfielder's future should be decided before England face DR Congo in their round-of-32 tie on Wednesday.

"I think there's a high chance it's sorted before the round of 32," Tuchel said of Anderson's move, following Saturday's 2-0 win over Panama.
"He plays like he owns the place. There were no concerns [over his fitness], the medical staff gave the green light, he has no injury."
Anderson had been doubtful ahead of the Panama game, but with Declan Rice rested, he started as the lone pivot in England's midfield and had the most touches (93) of any player, completing 63 of his 70 passes and winning nine of his 16 duels.
